This standard specifies the antibacterial properties, antifungal properties, and evaluation methods for antibacterial effects of antibacterial coatings. It also specifies the evaluation methods for antibacterial durability and lifespan. The standard's antibacterial performance requirements and test methods refer to the Japanese national industrial standard JIS Z2801-2000 "Antibacterial processed products—Antibacterial test methods and antibacterial effects", and are applicable to building coatings and wood coatings with antibacterial functions; other coatings may refer to this standard.
